  1. Perfectly acted and paced just right, the clever writing will stick with you for a long time. Beer Can Raft and Other Plays is what live theatre is all about. I recommend it highly to anyone who wants a dash of cerebral with their humor. This show about relationships is not to be missed!

  2. This show featured solid performances. Overall, I was underwhelmed. The script was okay at best, and at times pretty flimsy--not at all the brilliance I expected from someone who has more than once reminded us how important and good he is at what he does, and that he often goes to NY. NUVO definitely helped launch the hoopla of this play, but I've seen other plays that are far more deserving of said hoopla.

  3. Very weak premise, supported by even weaker dialog. It was obvious that writer Lou Harry thought he was being clever, and thought his big break would come by employing young actors clad in bikinis. The young actors spoke from a different generation--the author's, and had nothing interesting to say. The worst was when the actors tried to have a poignant moment. Who could blame them? The script gave them nothing to work with.

  4. Thank you for taking the time to see and write about Beer Can Raft. (Not sure when I reminded anyone how good I am at what I do or what my seeing shows in NY and elsewhere has to do with anything, but so be it.)
    Again, thanks for Fringing.
