Talking with A Wing and Prayer Productions - 'Tricks of the Trade'

During the build-up to the 2011 IndyFringe Festival, IndyFringeTalk interviewed some of the key performers to get insight into their stories, their audience and the Fringe itself. Here is what happened when we sat down with members of A Wing and a Prayer Productions' Tricks of the Trade.

If you could present your show to just one person, who would it be and why?
We would choose Bob Berry who wrote “Singles Bar” and has been teacher, mentor and supporter to each one of us in our acting/directing pursuits.  We also want the actor Bill Murray to see our show because we have been trying to meet him.

List 3 words that truly sum up your show.
Friends, Ruthless, Devoted

What is the best way for theater-goers to stay informed about your latest productions?
We can be contacted on Facebook under A Wing and A Prayer Productions.

How does the fringe theater benefit you as a theater artist/performer?
Being involved in IndyFringe gives us an excellent opportunity to get our work out and  have it seen by a wide variety of people. We are also able to present material that is not always done at the community theatre level. Being able to network with all of the various performers is an amazing opportunity.

What is the funniest line in your show?
“No, no you can’t fuck but, Eddie.”

Where do you see yourself in a year’s time?
We hope to be back at the Fringe and maybe have some original material to present. We are also looking at putting up a play at the Fringe building by local actor/playwright, Bob Berry.

Why IndyFringe?

It is one of the most exciting, unique events of the year here in Indianapolis. IndyFringe allows performers to not only reach a larger audience but to present edgier, more provocative material.
