Talking with Ty Stover - 'Slammed'

During the build-up to the 2011 IndyFringe Festival, IndyFringeTalk interviewed some of the key performers to get insight into their stories, their audience and the Fringe itself. Here is what happened when we sat down with SLAMMED's Ty Stover.

If you could present your show to just one person, who would it be and why?
The person who is reading this right now… you deserve to see these amazing performances and hear the words of a singularly gifted young poet and playwright, Sharla Steiman.
List 3 words that truly sum up your show.
Love, Loss, and Lesbians

How does fringe theater benefit you as a theater artist/performer?
It provides a safer than normal environment for risk taking which is vital in the discovery of new and emerging talents. (One of TATU’s primary goals.)

What is the funniest line in your show?
“Woooo” (in context), and “are you some kind of cult?”

Where do you see yourself in a year’s time?
Back on the boards at iNDYfRINGE!

Why IndyFringe?
The fringe is a jewel in the artistic crown of Indy. Several other cities have Fringe Festivals. But none are run as well and as much of a pleasure to perform in as iNDYfRINGE. Just ask many of the out of town performers and they will tell you the same. I have seen it firsthand. We are extremely lucky to have the Fringe and to have the Fringe we have!
